Please note that this post might include outdated information. For more up to date information about the recording playback feature, click here.
The key to creating a good learning experience online is being able to create your lessons without any limitations. Lessonspace is the tool you need to make that happen.
Step 1: Log in to your Lessonspace account and enable video recording.
It's very easy to get started, go to www.thelessonspace.com and login or create your Lessonspace account. Then go to settings and enable record audio & video streams.
Step 2: Create a New Space
Once you’ve logged in and you're on the Overview page, click “Spaces” - you will find all of your lessons (these are referred to as Spaces) and where you can create a new lesson.
Step 3: Getting your Space ready for a Lesson
Click “New Space” in the top right corner to get started. This will take you to your new space in a new window:
Once you’re in the space the recording is happening automatically.
Here you will find all the tools you need to create your lesson, the different tabs available to use as the base of your lesson (Whiteboard Tab, Document Tab, Code Tab) and your video in the top right corner.
(For more info on how to best to use the lesson environment, read the ultimate guide to teach here)
Step 4: Start Teaching
When you’ve completed your lesson, simply exit your space to end the recording and it will take you back to your overview page.
Step 5: View Recording
Click “Sessions” here you will find all of the recordings of your spaces. Which you can rename if needed.
Click “View Recording” of the session you would like to review and share. Note, your session may not be processed and ready to view immediately, wait until you are able to “View Recording” then it will open a new window:
Step 6: Share Your Lesson Recording with your Students
Here you will see the video player in the bottom left corner of the screen.
Click the play button to start the video and review your lesson.
When you’re ready to share your lesson, copy the link as shown below and you can send that to your students via email, Google Classroom, WhatsApp or any other platform you are using and you're done.
